Description
He is the White Void. He is the Cold Steel. He is the Just Sword. With blade in hand shall he reap the sins of this world and cleanse it in the fires of destruction. He is Hakumen! The end has come.
Moving on, I had to work on a final project for my 4D Studio art class, and I chose to make another drawing conveying time. This time with Hakumen as the main subject. After some intensive sketches (which some of them were freaking cool), I settled on drawing something not in the sketches. Originally, I was going to film the process of the drawing, but that proved to be tedious, time-consuming, and difficult since my head kept getting in the way of the camera. So I just started drawing and ended up with this triptych that depicts three separate moments in my favorite character's life so far.
Spoilers abound for those who don't know much about the game series Blazblue. Ye be warned.
In the first panel on the left, the portion of Hakumen's life being depicted is his battle against the Black Beast along with some of the other Heroes who fought along his side. The only person not depicted is Trinity. I felt that if I had added her, it would have crowded the small space more so than it probably already is. The other Heroes depicted are Valkenhayn, Nine, Jubei (Mitsuyoshi), and Terumi.
In the middle panel is the depiction of of a fight within Calamity Trigger. Within the True Ending, while making his way towards the Cauldron, Ragna runs into Hakumen who proceeds to begin a fight with him. This is obviously right before they begin their fight. Hakumen's probably gonna start his epic monologue soon.
In the right panel is a scene depicted in Continuum Shift. Those who have played the game will know this scene as Hakumen's Bad Ending in which Terumi has lured Hakumen to his doom by forcing him to defend the helpless Tsubaki, to whom he cares for so much, and himself from the newly awaken Murakumo unit Kusanagi a.k.a. Mu-12. Terumi is in the foreground casually walking away with a wicked smile.
Phew. Well that was very informative. It took me a whole week's worth of time to finally get this down and color it. And I have to say I'm proud of what I've accomplished.
I am almost done with the colored version of Nightmare Fiction. Coloring a sky was not as easy as I thought it would be.
